Drinking monitor system

The drinking monitor system consists of a modified version of the MOUSE-E-MOTION Universal Data Logger and an extension module. It provides two independent channels allowing simultaneous logging of the consumption data from two drinking water bottles. It is based upon modified metal mounting units for the MOUSE-E-MOTION Universal Data Logger. Thus, it can be applied with every type 2 or type 2L mouse cage. It is equipped with an LCD display and three push buttons allowing to view and change the settings for measuring and to inspect the current measurement values during logging.

  • Advanced high-precision electronics for superior accuracy
  • Ready-to-use, no calibration through the user necessary
  • Temperature compensation
  • Unaffected by vibrations or other interferences by the animals, fault-measurements are filtered
  • Quick and easy exchange of bottles due to magnetic attachment
  • Different bottle tips for water-based (0.8mm-diameter opening) and alcohol-based (0.5mm-diameter opening) drinking solutions available
  • Alternatively, one or several units can be directly connected to a PC via a serial data cable (RS-485) and logging can be carried with logging software (currently under development)
